We love visiting the Florida Keys. The sunshine, gorgeous views, dolphins playing in the water and key lime everything make the Florida Keys one of our favorite places to visit.
We live across the country from the Florida Keys so we decided to bring a bit of the Florida Keys home with us with thisKey Lime Colada Recipe.
Now we can all enjoy a bit of key lime goodness in our backyards! This Key Lime Piña Colada is refreshing, delicious, and oh so easy to make! YUM!
This is a great mix of key lime, pineapple, and coconut! All of the best tropical flavors blended together.

Lava Flow Recipe
Ingredients Needed
- Malibu Coconut Rum
- Key Lime Liqueur or Capt. Morgan Lime whichever you can find in your area. If you can't find either of these you can use key lime juice but you will need to lower the amount and add in more pina colada mix.
- Pineapple Juice
- Pina Colada Mix
- Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut
- Roses Sweetened Lime Juice
- Ice
- Garnish - Lime Wheels
You can also add a graham cracker rim to make it like a key lime pie or add whipped cream on top.
Equipment Needed
Blender - I love how the Ninja Blender blends until smooth. You don't get the chunks of ice you get with some blenders.
Tropical Cocktail Glass - This recipe makes 16oz of cocktail! You want to make sure your tropical glasses can hold a large cocktail. The ones linked can hold 17 ounces.
Tropical drink umbrella - if you want to add a fun umbrella to your drink.
Bamboo Paper Straws or Tropical Paper Straws to make it easier to drink and that much more tropical

I just made this beverage! Yummy! I have a weakness for all things key lime. I wasn’t able to find Captain Morgan key lime, so I bought Bacardi lime instead. This was a fantastic and refreshing beverage. The only thing I was unclear on was how much ice to use? In the end I used half a blender full.Reply

Everything about that screams vacation! I don't drink alcohol but I would love a mocktail version.
